Practice Projects
Apply the Workflow on Your Own Authorized Footage
Each project builds on the last, moving from a single clip to a full mock handoff — using only material you own or are properly licensed to use.

Why Practice on Your Own Material
Working with footage you own or are properly licensed to use keeps every project honest and reusable — you can show these samples later, and you never have to worry about rights.
1
Project one: a single authorized clip
Goal: Turn one long-form segment into a captioned, branded vertical clip.
- Confirm you have the rights to the source footage
- Select and trim one strong moment
- Add captions, a hook, and your brand template
2
Project two: a three-clip mini batch
Goal: Practise consistency across multiple clips from the same source.
- Select three separate moments from one piece of footage
- Apply the same brand template and caption style to each
- Run the quality checklist on all three before calling it done
3
Project three: a mock client handoff
Goal: Package a batch the way you would for a real client.
- Write a short scope note: clip count, revisions, delivery format
- Organize final files with clear, consistent naming
- Prepare a short handoff summary as if sending it to a client
